Artificial Intelligence aka AI is the future and is growing much rapidly in a number of industries. There are scientists, researchers, and engineers who are doing a deep study with a speedy pace to know the real structural & behavioral environment of Artificial Intelligence. It was in the news that Saudi Arabia became the first country who allotted the citizenship to a robot who exactly behaves like a human aka Humanoid.
Before going further, we need to know who is a Humanoid. A humanoid robot resembles a human body while comprising machinery parts & language. The idea behind the Humanoid Creation is just to have an interaction with such robots or bots that can help you out for some purposes. The humanoid can have a head, two arms, two legs, all in all denoting a human structure while replicating the human expressions.
When we take a deep dive in this, we get to know that Sophia is the humanoid Robot which is more of a user-interface that can imitate human and can be programmed to run different code (we call it emotions in our language) for different situations. It is produced by Hanson Robotics and he clearly mentioned some configuration aspects of Sophia by which we can take some glimpse such as:
- Sophia is made for the research and is counted as research platform only and can answer normal and genuine questions.
- No harmful or witty sided code is written i.e she cannot do many things on her own.
- For now, a little configuration of Machine learning is indulged in this humanoid so that facial expressions and pauses can be implemented. Moreover, it’s a speech reciting robot who is working according to the text which is pre-loaded in her body parts.
- Just like Siri, Sophia also runs a dialogue system and behave like a Chatbot, moreover, she can look at people, listen to them and response on what the person said or saying to her.
All in all, it was a great creation in AI. We can say that 2K17 was an Amazing year for AI…indeed it was. A number of scholars & researcher in AI mentioned that Sophia is one of the biggest outcomes of AI oriented contribution who is actually having a citizenship for a country and behaving like a Human with a Human.
