In this AI war, Microsoft again comes up with big updates. At the company’s annual build conference in 2023, Tech giant Microsoft announced that it would include Bing Search into OpenAI’s ChatGPT and further integrate Bing Chat into its Copilots. Besides, it also revealed a shared plugin platform with OpenAI.
Enhancing its users’ search experiences has long been a priority for Microsoft. This upgrade also includes the integration of Bing Search with ChatGpt. In partnership with Bing, AI Chatbot will now give consumers the most recent information. Along with this, citations will also be offered so that the user may verify the AI responses.
According to Yusuf Mehdi, corporate vice president & consumer chief marketing officer at Microsoft. “ChatGPT will now have a world-class search engine built-in to provide timelier and more up-to-date answers with access from the web. Now, ChatGPT answers can be grounded by search and web data and include citations so you can learn more—all directly from within chat.”
The Expansion Of the Bing Ecosystem
Microsoft has also boosted Bing Chat’s compatibility with its numerous Copilots. Microsoft released Copilot, driven by artificial intelligence and designed to aid Office users in March. It’s accessible as a chatbot and may be used to create emails, PowerPoint presentations, and Word documents.
Copilots for Windows, Power BI, Power Pages, and the company’s latest data analytics platform, Microsoft Fabric, were all revealed this month as part of Microsoft’s effort to grow its Copilots ecosystem.
Latest Update On Microsoft Plugins For Bing Chat
A unified platform is now available for developers to design compatible plugins with ChatGPT, Bing, Dynamics 365 Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and Windows Copilot. Integrating plugins with Bing will enable the search engine to incorporate diverse services seamlessly.
Previously, announcements were made regarding the availability of Wolfram | Alpha and OpenTable plugins for Bing.
According to Microsoft, Bing will soon be adding Expedia, Instacart, Kayak, Klarna, Redfin, TripAdvisor, and Zillow to its platform.
Bing Chat will soon support a range of plugins, including those for Bandsintown, Bohita, Cloudflare, Coupert, Fareportal, FiscalNote, Golden, Lexi Shopper, Likewise, Notable, One Word Domains, PromptPerfect, Shopify, Skyscanner, Spotify, Spotnana, and Trip.com.
