This initiative aims to make artificial intelligence more accessible to a wider range of users, allowing more people to take advantage of Copilot’s capabilities to enhance productivity and creativity.

Key Features of Microsoft Copilot Pro

1. Copilot access in Microsoft 365 apps

Microsoft is rolling out Copilot access for subscribers of Microsoft Copilot Pro who also have Microsoft 365 Personal or Family plans. Subscribers can now use Copilot in select Microsoft 365 apps, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote on PCs, Word, Macs, and iPads. It’s worth noting that Copilot support in Excel is currently in preview and is limited to the English language.

This enhancement provides Copilot Pro users with an extended range of applications to enhance their productivity across various devices.

2. Enhancements in Image Generation

An exciting enhancement has been introduced for Copilot users, particularly those with a Copilot Pro subscription. Copilot has long been capable of assisting in image generation from text prompts through the Bing Image Creator AI art generator, which is now rebranded as Image Creator from Designer.

For Copilot Pro subscribers, the image generation experience has been significantly improved. Unlike non-subscribers, who typically receive around 15 boosts per day, Copilot Pro users now enjoy a generous allocation of 100 boosts daily. A “boost” is used to create an image, providing ample opportunities for creative image generation.

Copilot Pro subscribers also benefit from enhanced image quality. Microsoft asserts that Pro users can expect more detailed images from the Image Creator, and they have the added advantage of receiving images in landscape format. In contrast, non-subscribers are limited to square-format images. This improvement aims to provide Copilot Pro users with a more robust and versatile image creation experience.

3. Copilot Pro offers priority access to the latest models.

Copilot Pro subscribers now enjoy priority access to the latest models, with the recent upgrade to the enhanced GPT-4 Turbo model. While the standard Copilot previously operated on the advanced GPT-4 model, the introduction of GPT-4 Turbo brings improved performance. Copilot Pro users benefit from faster performance, particularly during peak usage times.

Microsoft emphasizes the commitment to providing Copilot Pro subscribers with a superior experience. In the future, Microsoft plans to introduce a feature that allows Copilot Pro users to toggle between different models at their discretion. This upcoming capability aims to offer users greater flexibility, enabling them to customize their Copilot experience based on their preferences and specific needs. This emphasis on cutting-edge models and user customization underscores Microsoft’s dedication to delivering a top-notch experience for Copilot Pro subscribers.

4. Build your own Copilot GPT

Although it is not currently available, Microsoft has assured Copilot Pro users that an upcoming feature, which is expected to be both new and exciting, is in the works. In the near future, Copilot Pro subscribers will be able to generate their own Copilot GPTs using a new tool called the Copilot GPT Builder.

This upcoming feature allows users to design their own Copilot GPTs tailored to specific subjects. The intent is to provide more valuable and targeted advice on particular topics by training Copilot GPTs specifically on those subjects. This development reflects Microsoft’s dedication to providing Copilot Pro users with a personalized and enhanced experience, enabling them to take advantage of AI’s capabilities to meet their specific requirements and preferences.
